I felt many of you have been given PROMISES that over time have become difficult to grasp, so you shelved them and they have been sitting idle, hidden away, covered in dust! For some, these promises seem to have become broken, a torment, a constant reminder of what you feel you’ve missed out on, causing you to question and doubt yourself and God’s plans. Many of these have felt impossible, too big, too difficult to even contemplate, and so distractions, discouragement and life just got in the way.
But I felt the Lord say “Get ready for I am about to blow away the dust and shake the shelf where these promises have been sitting! This shaking is to get your ATTENTION and to AWAKEN you to TAKE HOLD of the PROMISES I have for you! It’s not too late! It’s not impossible! These are My promises for your life, and I am BREATHING NEW LIFE BACK INTO THEM!”
Then the Lord showed me a vision of a big dust storm over dry land. People were caught up in this, disorientated, scared, unable to see ahead, feeling suffocated and desperately crying out for help. Then I saw hands clapping loudly over the Earth and I could hear the words “WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP” thundering. The hands clapped loudly in the midst of a turbulent thunderstorm that was bearing down on the dust storm causing the ground to shake. Then I saw the thunderstorm consume the dust storm as the words WAKE UP kept clapping overhead. As people started to open their eyes and look up, I saw the rain start falling...good soaking rain that drenched the once parched dry land, washing away the dust! And I saw a rainbow forming and new life started springing up across the land.
Then the Lord spoke to me about the current drought we are in, in Australia, and how everyone is waiting with great anticipation, looking and longing for the rain to come. When storm clouds do form and the thunder sounds, it is getting everyone’s attention and people are excited because we so desperately need rain! These storms, some of which are ferocious, rain over our dry dusty land, and it’s a welcome sight for even those who wouldn’t normally care about this!
He showed me how many have been so desperately longing for breakthrough over your life. Your hearts have been crying out for healing, for hope, for restoration! But you have become overwhelmed, lost, confused and even fearful of the storm! Torment, doubts and worry have filled you and caused you to retreat, to run and hide, to give up!
But the Lord says “I am WAKING UP MY PROMISES! Words, dreams, visions that I gave you which you’ve put on the shelf, buried behind mess and clutter, collecting dust. I am waking up promises that you have not yet seen! Many have endured a long drought, and even now I know many feel like they have been in or are still enduring a storm. But I tell you today, HAVE FAITH! DO NOT BE OVERWHELMED! Do not be silent! Now is NOT the time to run and hide or give up! NOW IS THE TIME TO WAKE UP! Do you hear the thunder? DON’T BE AFRAID for I AM WITH YOU! NOW is the time to come out of hiding. Now is the time to open your mouth and wage war with My promises over your life! DECREE, DECLARE, INTERCEDE and watch Me do the impossible! Lift your heads, your eyes and watch Me raise the banner of victory over your life, like a rainbow over your land... your PROMISED LAND! HERE COMES THE RAIN!"
“Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in His eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God and you will be secure, feasting on his faithfulness. Make God the utmost delight and pleasure of your life, and He will provide for you what you desire the most. Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust Him along the way, you’ll find He pulled it off perfectly!” Psalms 37:3-5 TPT
